Grab drinks at the Sydney Opera House bar outside. There’s live music, great people watching and it’s not too crowded. It seemed like a regular summer day in New York City and not December chaos as I was expecting. We were able to get seats right by the water without reservations.
Get tickets to see a show at the Sydney Opera House. We saw the Great Gatsby on Christmas Eve and it was a good way to see the opera house while enjoying something fun!
Walk to Martin Place for shopping, sightseeing and the city center.

Go to Bondi Beach, a must-do while in Sydney. If able to, make reservations at the Iceberg Club so you can enjoy a glass of wine and grab a bite while overlooking the pool and the wonderfulness that is Bondi Beach. Then go down to the pool, get a tan but please use plenty of sunblock, I misapplied and got totally sunburned on my legs! You can rent towels; it was very convenient. Later go to the beach for a stroll and check out the graffiti walls. You can walk from beach to beach for a couple of hours while getting drinks along the way.

Take the ferry and check out Manly Beach, it’s less touristy than Bondi Beach, the boardwalk is full with cute stores and the restaurants by the Wharf are very cute. We had lunch at the Manly Pavilion and had the best view. We spent a few hours at the beach and the water wasn’t too cold once you got in!

Go to the Rocks, great restaurants and lively bars with live music. Doss House, an underground bar was a big hit on Christmas Eve. Walk the Barangaroo Reserve, Royal Botanic Garden. Go to the Zimmermann outlet, Camila and Marc are next door as are other cute Australian brands at super discounted prices.
