If you want a fall coat that works harder than most, this reversible Zara trench coat is it. One side is a classic camel, the kind of neutral that goes with everything in your closet. Flip it inside out and you get a soft plaid in cream, gray, and navy that feels a little more interesting and a lot less expected. The cut is relaxed and easy, with a clean collar, dark buttons, and a long line that works over just about anything. It’s two coats in one, which is my kind of math. I styled both sides the same way, to show how little you need to change: a simple white tee, straight-leg jeans, and my dark brown tassel loafers.
The camel side keeps things classic and polished, while the plaid side adds some pattern without any extra effort. Both are easy to throw on and go, whether you’re running errands, walking around the city, or heading to dinner as the evenings cool off. This is exactly the kind of piece I love: one coat, two looks, and a reason to wear it on repeat all season. It also looks just like the Sézane version, but at a fraction of the price, so you get the same polished, French-girl feel without the splurge.
