Maybe you use a renting company such as Rent the Runway, borrow them or get them at a discounted store such as T.J. Maxx.
Let’s start with dresses I’ve actually worn and considered wearing for formal events I’ve been two in the last year. I’m 41 but this classic styles really transcend time. Let’s start with this pink cutie I love this AMUR style. It’s elegant, the texture gives your look that something extra that is sophisticated, classic but subtle, perfect to make an entrance but still look the part. I wore it with comfortable heels I borrowed from my mom’s closet, statement gold accessories and a colorful bag to carry the essentials, business cards, lipstick, teaser brush, wallet, gum, keys and floss, because you never know when you’ll need it.
I wore the Azeeza magenta dress last year at a few events in Palm Beach, FL and Washington, DC. The material is elegant that you can wear it to a graduation, wedding or any other formal event. I personally like the bright magenta tone as the pop of color really stands out. The skirt part moves with you really catching the eye. Gold statement accessories are my go-to for these formal events, but I also wear gold studs for everyday looks. Gold accessories are easy to wear and I most of them are from Zara, Mango, vintage Chanel I got in Japan or my mom’s closet that I’ve been collecting for years. I have this big coin earrings from J.Crew, that I got a few years ago that I also wear on repeat.
