COVER-UP: PQ SWIM COVER-UP FROM A FEW YEARS AGO (SIMILAR HERE AND HERE)
Puglia has been great so far. No humidity just like in Madrid, which is excellent news for the hair maneuvering in summer. Spent the day lounging under the beautiful sun umbrellas, at Cala Maka watching the ocean and literally doing nothing for once. I wore this mesh cover-up from PQ Swim that I’ve loved for years, so light and it’s great for the windier days. I also took a stripped Mango shirt with me as I throw it on quickly after having sunscreen and sand on me all day. My Tkees sandals that are perfect for beach days and for walking in town, my seashell statement earrings and my wide brim hat of course. Keeping things simple over here.
Cala Maka in Lido is located at Via Eroi del Mare, 1, 72016 Torre Canne BR. You can book sunbeds online, service was fantastic. The staff was lovely and they were all excited when they heard we were coming from Madrid. You can get small bites from sushi so guacamole and chips to fruit plates to half a bottle of rose or take a break and dine in their restaurant but the comfort of getting things right at the beach was pretty great. The outdoor showers and boutique were a plus. Parking was only 5 Euros and there was plenty of space. They are pretty affordable, a lot more than Saint Tropez. And look at this view with the umbrellas, too cute.
