One thing you should know about Madrid is that the beautiful capital’s winter is very mild compared to other European cities. You can expect 60 degrees F at the highest and at the lowest forties/high thirties degrees. I’ve been loving to wear miniskirts again paired with shirts, sweaters, blazers and on the cooler days or days I know I’ll be out until later in the evening, I throw on sweater jacket or an actual jacket. Even when winter days are milder in February, people like to dress up and showcase their winter pieces and layering is a big part of it.

If you only wear a big coat, you’ll be hot in the middle of the day and will end up carrying a heavy coat versus just taking off the bigger layer. You get the point. Do wear all your winter favorites but keep in mind layers, layers and more layers, plus they’re so much fun to play with. I wanted a casual look for a weekend of spontaneous brunch, checking out a new neighborhood, rooftop hopping, shopping and movies so this hoodie, blazer, shirt and knitted skirt combo did the trick.

I cannot recommend this Mango blazer enough. I wear it all the time, to travel, to brunch, to go grocery shopping, I just through it on top of a t-shirt, sweater, dress, everything really! Mango produces really well-crafted items that look luxe, offer good quality and the prices are very affordable. They are my go-to for basic pieces and office wear additions. Right now, Mango is having an end of the season sale so you do not want to miss all their great discounted pieces, trust me, this is when you take advantage of classic pieces for next season if you haven’t already.
