What to Wear for the 4th of July

DRESS: STAUD BLUE TOILE WELLS DRESS (I ALSO HAVE IT IN GREEN, LAST SEEN HERE) | SHOES: STEVE MADDEN HADYN SANDALS | SUNGLASSES: & OTHER STORIES SQUARED SUNGLASSES (COMES IN TWO COLORS).

Staud dresses are some of my favorite summer pieces. The quality is palpable, the fit works great for my figure and the square neck makes me feel very me. As someone with a petite figure, v-necks are not really my cup of tea but square necks sure do the trick for me. The print on this dress is beautiful, perfect for a 4th of July BBQ or brunch. You can dress it up or down and I certainly take it with me every time I travel somewhere warm. Don’t need much more from this. Simply throw it on, add some minimal gold accessories if I want to dress it up a little and I’m done.

I wore this on Mother’s Day, and it was great to go from lunch to drinks to a stroll down Worth Avenue in Palm Beach. Another great advantage from Staud pieces is that the material is very stretchy, which is gold in my book. Even though the fit is structured, you still have room left if you decide to let’s say, eat a bowl full of pasta, a couple glasses of wine and dare to order dessert when you’re already full. This Staud Wells dress is so popular you can get it in tons of prints, and also midi or mini style.

I’m personally a midi Staud Wells dress type of gal. Besides the China blue toile, which I’m wearing here, Saks has a beige ivory toile and a very subtle ivory cherry blossom toile prints that are great to transition from spring to summer. Hot pink or Plumeria as the official name stands for is also a summer favorite. The mini Vincent dresses from Staud are also great options for the fourth of July and summer in general.
