Carnival or carnaval is a holiday in Ecuador that everyone goes to the beach, at least my family always has, to cool off from the city heat and to take some well-deserved relaxing days off. The Salinas Yacht Club Beach House is celebrating with tropical parties from Friday to Monday and since I just got back from Europe, I’m in need of some sun and outfits that do not involve jackets. I’ve had this dress for about 3 years and every summer revolve brings it back, which makes me so happy because it’s an oldie but goodie, perfect for a carnaval beach party. I like wearing white or print outfits when I go to beach parties, it helps blend the paleness I currently have and it’s always a mood booster. The key thing when dressing up is dressing up for yourself, wear what you’re comfortable with. If you like it, wear it. If it fits, show it.
Karneval oder Carnaval ist ein Feiertag in Ecuador, an dem jeder an den Strand geht, zumindest meine Familie immer, um sich von der Hitze der Stadt abzukühlen und sich ein paar wohlverdiente erholsame Tage zu gönnen. Das Salinas Yacht Club Beach House feiert von Freitag bis Montag mit tropischen Partys und da ich gerade aus Europa zurück bin, brauche ich etwas Sonne und Outfits ohne Jacken. Ich habe dieses Kleid seit ungefähr 3 Jahren und jeden Sommer kommt es zurück, was mich so glücklich macht, weil es ein Oldie but Goodie ist, perfekt für eine Karnevals-Strandparty. Ich trage gerne weiße oder gemusterte Outfits, wenn ich zu Strandpartys gehe, es hilft, die Blässe, die ich derzeit habe, zu kaschieren, und es ist immer ein Stimmungsaufheller. Das Wichtigste beim Anziehen ist, sich selbst anzuziehen, trage das, worin du dich wohlfühlst. Wenn es dir gefällt, trage es. Wenn es passt, zeig es.
El carnaval es un feriado en Ecuador en el que todo el mundo se va a la playa, al menos mi familia siempre lo ha hecho, para refrescarse del calor de la ciudad y tomarse unos merecidos días de descanso. El Beach House del Salinas Yacht Club está celebrando el feriado con fiestas tropicales de viernes a lunes y como acabo de llegar de Europa, estoy necesitada de sol y outfits que no impliquen chaquetas. Tengo este vestido desde hace unos 3 años y cada vez, la tienda revolve, mi preferida, la vuelve a sacar, lo que me hace muy feliz porque es un viejo pero bueno look, perfecto para una fiesta de carnaval en la playa. Me gusta usar ropa blanca o estampada cuando voy a fiestas en la playa, ayuda a difuminar la palidez que tengo actualmente y siempre me levanta el ánimo. La clave a la hora de vestirse es vestirse para uno mismo, usar lo que te resulte cómodo. Si te gusta, úsalo. Si te queda bien, póntelo con toda la confianza.
