Festive Feathers

2014 is only a few weeks away. It’s unbelievable how fast time flies. Holiday parties are popping up everywhere and the question of what to wear to a holiday party continues to crowd our minds. Today, I’m sharing with you a casual yet chic festive look. You know how much I love skirts, such as skater skirts, full skirts, midi skirts, pencil skirts, you name them. It was no surprise I fell in love with this festive feather little piece as soon as I saw it. Isn’t it dashing? 2014 está sólo a unas semanas. Es increíble lo rápido que pasa el tiempo. Las fiestas navideñas están apareciendo por todas partes y la cuestión de qué ponerse para una fiesta continúa en nuestras mentes. Hoy, estoy compartiendo con ustedes un look festivo informal pero con estilo. Holiday Splatter

Christmas is coming up faster than I thought so I want to share with you one of my favorite holiday looks consisting of this perfectly feminine splatter paint full skirt from tibi (last seen here, similar here), which comes in two colors, black and white multi and red and black multi. What’s so great about this skirt is that you can dress it up or down and feel great either way. You’ve probably seen it on a series of fashion-forward ladies such as Aimee Song from Song of Style, Eva Chen from Lucky Magazine during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Blair Eadie from Atlantic Pacific, one of my favorite bloggers and many others. I first saw it on Aimee Song and as soon as it was available online, I bought it. Every year or every other year I make one big purchase. You know that one thing you save all year long for. I was coveting it so much and I couldn’t be happier with the quality, color, pattern, everything.

Who What Wear, one of my daily reads, calls this skirt, ‘the skirt every street style it-girl is wearing,’ and with a reason. The skirt is every bit as picturesque as it is covet-worthy, couldn’t agree more Who What Wear. To continue with my glamorous Christmas look, I added a pop of red through this Danielle Nicole Alexa Mini Crossbody bag, Zara heels and my favorite J.Crew tippi sweater, I totally recommend these sweaters, they’re the best. I wear them to the office, on a casual day to stroll down Washington Square Park.. the list never ends. I always attempt to have an element of sophistication in each of my looks. My essential accessory is sometimes a statement necklace, a stack of bracelets or a pop of color on my shoes. I always try to incorporate something that pops especially when it comes to necklaces. With the snow taken over the East Coast, warm and cozy jackets are a must! Today, I want to share my favorite winter coat with you. I’ve had it for a few years and I love it every time I take it out of my clothes bag every winter season. Lucky you, J.Crew brings it back every year in a variety of colors for every style. These photos were also taken at the Long House reserve in East Hampton, NY. The little bow gloves and faux fur scarf add soft and gentle details to the overall look. When I want to dress up my outfit I wear the scarf showing the crystals and when I want to be more casual, I just turn it around.
