Red Valentine

For Valentine’s Day, I was planning on wearing this super cute Asos midi red skirt but giving the freezing temperatures in New York, I decided to wear this heart-printed blouse. Dash of Leopard

With cold temperatures, I can’t help but to think layers, layers, layers. I love wearing this Zara leopard coat (similar Revolve Clothing leopard coat) during fall and winter, it’s such a good print and you don’t need much more to make an outfit. This BCBG Justyne vest dress (similar here) was a great gift. I was first so bummed that when I first ordered it from Bloomingdales there was a mishap and I never got it but luckily me I got it over Christmas at the BCBG store in Ne York City. It’s versatile and easy to wear. Whether at the office, out for brunch.. with booties, heels or knee-high boots, you name it, I really like it,. This time, I paired up the coat and vest dress with Zara heels, Karen Walker super dupper sunglasses, Coach watch, Stella & Dot renegade cluster bracelets.

Bei kalten Temperaturen, kann ich nicht anders, als zu Schichten, Schichten zu denken. Ich liebe dieser Zara Leopardenmantel (ähnlich Revolve Clothing Leopardenmantel) im Herbst und Winter zu tragen. Ich war zuerst so deprimiert, wenn ich zum ersten Mal bestellt sie von Bloomingdales gab es einen Unfall und ich habe es nie, aber zum Glück habe ich es mir über Weihnachten an der BCBG Store in Ne York City. encanta usar este abrigo de leopardo de Zara (similar abrigo de leopardo de Revolve Clothing aquí) durante el otoño y el invierno, es un saco con un estampado cool, y no necesitan mucho más para completar tu look. Este vestido y chaleco conjunto BCBG Justyne (similar aquí) fue un gran regalo. Al principio tuve una mala experiencia cuando lo pedí por medio Bloomingdales que por alguna razón nunca me llegó, pero por suerte me lo pude comprar por Navidad en la tienda BCBG en Nueva York. Es versátil y fácil de llevar. Ya sea en la oficina, salir para el brunch .. con botines, tacones o botas altas hasta la rodilla, ustedes deciden, me gusta mucho. Sparkle Sparkle

For New Years Eve, I wanted something sparkly without having to break the bank for it. I was in between a dress and a skirt at first but given I was in New York City I opted for sequined leggings, very inexpensive (found this site from Pinterest) and just like that I started creating my NYE outfit. The leggings run a little shorter than expected but I used them as cropped pants, which did the trick.

Now let’s move to the blazer portion of the outfit. So I’ve had this blazer since 2006 or 2007 when I was in college and I almost got rid of it because I don’t use it anymore. While trying it on, I open the lapels, added a thick belt, rolled up the sleeves and created a fresh and chic look with something I already had in my closet. I’ve used the same blazer for the office; it looks very feminine and creative. Having the lapels together, gives the blazer a different vibe and it’s no longer formal but business casual and modern, what do you think? I must say the outfit was a big hit. Even though it was all black, the little details and sequins took this NYE outfit to another level. Für Silvester, wollte ich etwas prickelnde, ohne die Bank zu brechen. Para fin de año, quería algo brillante sin tener que romper el banco para ello. Estaba entre un vestido y una falda de lentejuelas en un principio pero teniendo en cuenta que estaba en la ciudad de Nueva York, opté por leggings de lentejuelas, muy barato (encontré el sitio por medio de Pinterest) y así comencé a crear mi outfit de fin de año. Los leggings corren un poco cortos pero los usé como pantalones cortos, que hicieron el truco.

Ahora vamos a pasar a la parte de la chaqueta del outfit. He tenido esta chaqueta desde el 2006 o 2007, cuando estaba en la universidad y casi me deshice de ella porque no la he usado en años. Probándomela, abrí las solapas, añadí un cinturón grueso, me remangué las mangas y creé un look fresco y elegante con algo que ya tenía en mi armario. He utilizado el mismo blazer para la oficina; se ve muy femenino y creativo. Poniendo las solapas juntas, da a la chaqueta una vibra diferente y ya no es formal, pero casual y moderna, ¿qué te parece? Debo decir que el outfit fue un gran éxito. A pesar de que todo el outfit era negro, los pequeños detalles y lentejuelas tomaron este outfit de NYE a otro nivel.
