Hat It

Blazer: J.Crew regent blazer (this blazer is a little tighter than the classic J.Crew blazers. I still got it in the same size I wear every other J.Crew piece of clothing because I liked the fitted look better) | Blouse: J.Crew silk pocket blouse (I’m also loving this one. A white silk blouse is always a go-to for me. Hats and blazers have become my best friends this season. They’re so easy to style and easy to mix and match with other fall and winter accessories. Take this J.Crew blazer for example. I got it as a birthday gift last year and I wear it at least 3 times a week. I wear it to the office, brunch, shopping, you name it. I love wearing it with patterns, silk or chunky scarves or statement accessories such as this leopard belt for a fall-ready combo.

Pink + Lilac

Not wanting to buy yet another outfit for a wedding, I opted to repurpose some of the outfits hanging in my closet. Even though I’ve already worn this exact skirt in yellow the weekend before at another wedding, I decided to wear this pink skirt with an open back crop top. I love the pink and lilac color combo so putting these two together was perfect. I was really happy with the outfit and it looked like brand new, I’ve worn the two pieces before but not together and what do you know, no one noticed. En el nombre del ahorro y no queriendo comprar otro outfit más para un matrimonio, decidí reutilizar algunos de los outfits que estaban colgando en mi closet. What’s old is new again. No one loves to repurpose an outfit more than me. It’s like you’re buying a new outfit but you’re not. You’re just mixing and matching new with old pieces, having a lot of fun in the process and ending up with a “new” outfit without breaking the bank.
