When it comes to suits, J.Crew is my go-to for a feminine, fitted, sophisticated and effortless look. Their fabrics are always of the best quality and last for a very long time. I’ve had many of their pieces for years and I have yet to replace any. They are investment pieces I wear over and over again, timeless and classic, my go-to when purchasing a new piece. I wear a size a 00 on blazers and pants. There are many ways to wear a sleek suit that makes you feel strong and confident when going to the office, meeting a client or networking for your company or on your own. Confidence and a sophisticated suit will never go out of style.
Another brand that I’ve been wearing a lot lately for casual pieces and office wear is Mango. This brand produces really high-quality pieces that you feel comfortable in their fabrics, are in style and always have classic pieces that will be forever in style. Their tweed jackets are very beautiful, and you can find them for under $100, I just got one for an upcoming business trip I have. Mango pieces are multi-purpose, you can wear them to the office and dress them down with jeans or a skirt for a more casual look. Let’s say a fitted vest with shorts for spring. A classic suit is a everlasting closet essential. Zara has great basics, I have a few cropped pants that I pair with my J.Crew. blazers.
You can do oversized blazers both for the office and for layering in fall and spring. You can pair it with chunky sweaters, throw it on top of dresses. When it comes to accessories, think crisp button-down shirts, sweaters, blouses, vests and for shoes you can go with loafers, ballerina flats, sandals or even sneakers if you’re going for a more casual look. You get the idea, styling a suit is an endless adventure. So whether you want to add a pop a color, go a little more subtle with a pale pink suit or traditional camel tone, go for the pinstripe pick or three-piece suit, or the perfect plaid for an added chicness to your look, you can rest assure, the suit will give you that extra strong punch you need in the day.
