A classic trench coat is perfect for spring and there are so many cute, cropped ones from Mango, Zara, APC, you name it. I’ve linked some of my favorites above. The weather in Madrid in April is glorious! It’s warm during the day, shorts, midi dresses are perfection and a little cropped trench coat for the mornings and evenings are just the layer you want to have handy. I’ve had this J.Crew trench coat for at least 8 years and recently got the Mango one I linked on the slide show and on the links section and I love how light and oversized it is. It’s not so oversized but it leaves room on the arms/chest area to pull the sleeves up and wear it with a sweater in the fall.
It’s perfect for traveling during this time of the year! I was a rooftop yesterday afternoon with friends and did not need my trench coat until 11 PM in the evening. The camel or beige tone adds warm to any look. The cropped trench coat is also very light to carry if you’re leaving your place in the afternoon when you don’t need it but you know you want to take it to keep you warm if you’re going to be out and about late in the evening. Some of the more popular cropped trench coats from Mango and Zara, great quality and price point balance by the way, are running low on smaller sizes. I took the Mango in XS and still have an oversized feel.
