What to Wear to the Hamptons

DRESS: ZIMMERMANN ROSA STRIPED PICNIC DRESS | SHOES: STEVE MADDEN HADYN COGNAC MULTI SANDALS | SUNGLASSES: KAREN WALKER SUPER DUPER STRENGTH ROUND ACETATE SUNGLASSES.

And just like that summer is around the corner and that means, beach season is fast approaching. If you’re in New York City, the Hamptons is just a quick jitney, train or 2.5-hour ride to East Hampton, Sag Harbor area. If you go after Memorial Day, hotels will go up significantly but if you’re able to work remotely a few days and can escape the city heat during the week, prices are not too bad until late June. If you manage to go before the holiday, you can get hotels for under $200, which are walking distance to town and the all the cute shops.

When it comes to what to wear to the Hamptons, think chic but comfortable. A Zimmermann dress or a cute floral maxi is a perfect pick for May-June weekends as the early mornings and late evenings are still somewhat cool. Bring cute sandals that you can walk around in and you’ll be all set. I love these type of dresses because you don’t need much more to accessorize. Sag Harbor Inn is a great place to consider. I’ve been staying there for the past 3 years and the staff is very nice, the rooms are comfortable, and you’re very close to town.

Go with your husband for a little moon or with a girlfriend that loves wine as much as you do and escape to Wolffer’s Vineyard for an afternoon of relaxing, live music and a taste of the Hamptons.
