Sitges is a small but vibrant Mediterranean villa on the coast of Barcelona, in Spain’s Catalonia region. The town is best known for its Mediterranean beaches, seafront promenade lined with grand mansions and its amazing climate, meaning you can enjoy sunny days 300 days in the year here, yes, almost the entire year, which makes it a very popular destination amongst European travelers. Sitges surrounding streets are filled with shops, restaurants and great people watching. They host film festivals and is very quaint. It’s the perfect one-day trip to do if you’re visiting Barcelona. When you’re walking in some of the streets, you don’t feel you’re Spain but in Greece, blue shutters, cobblestoned streets and of course the wonderful boardwalk, which is the perfect setting for a romantic yet casual paella lunch while overlooking the ocean. I went in October and the weather was lovely. I only kept my light jacket early in the day and then it was just dress time.

Ich war im Oktober und das Wetter war schön. Ich habe nur früh am Tag meine leichte Jacke behalten und dann war nur noch Kleiderzeit.

Las calles de los alrededores de Sitges están llenas de tiendas, restaurantes y gente maravillosa. Albergan festivales de cine y es muy pintoresco. Es el viaje de un día perfecto para hacer si visitas Barcelona. Cuando caminas por algunas de las calles, no sientes que estás en España sino en Grecia, contraventanas azules, calles adoquinadas y, por supuesto, el maravilloso paseo marítimo, que es el escenario perfecto para un almuerzo de paella romántico pero informal con vistas al océano. Fui en octubre y el clima estuvo divino. Solo me puse mi chaqueta ligera temprano en el día y luego fue solo mi vestido el resto del día.
