Lake Como in October is a fantasy. Busy enough that you feel the vibrant energy of the town but enough hotels available if you decide to go last minute. You can walk around the town and pick any table, watch the sunset and repeat. Always ask the locals for hidden restaurants, those tend to the best experiences and packed with locals of course so you know the food is good.
As I said in previous posts, you can wear a maxi summer dress during the day and through a light jacket for the early mornings and evenings. And yes, it was as beautiful as you imaged it but better, photos don’t make it justice. The entire experience was wonderful and I’m already planning another Italian holiday because there’s so much to see!
