Heading out east this weekend or at some point this summer and are wondering what to wear to the vineyard? I have a few options for you to consider. From May to June, I tend to wear maxi dresses as the weather is still cooler, especially in the late afternoon time. Light maxi dresses like this rosa striped picnic dress from Zimmermann is always a good option, another one I’ve worn is this LoveSchackFancy one that is very form fitting and very summery, ASTR also makes good ones, a stripe shirt and white denim is always a great combo to consider.
Most recently, I wore this NBD Haze Midi dress that has flutter sleeves, give me all the ruffles and I’m a happy camper, an embroidered fabric and mermaid style silhouette. This little number is more on the dressier side, that you definitely do not need, I wore this, because I wanted to wear something nice as we were taking a little time to celebrate our recent wedding, we will plan a loner trip, our honeymoon, later this year. I wore this also at Wölffer Estate, which has a nicer dining room and setting than the wine stand. The plan was to start with a little rose tasting, followed by dinner at Tutto il Giorno in Sag Harbor, where we were staying at.
The wine stand is more casual, you can bring your own picnic blanket, there’s live music on Fridays and Saturdays, kid friendly, games, etc. For all of my favorite restaurants, bars and stops while in the Hamptons, check out my list, where I have all details from locations, to links to my reviews. Little tip: If you want to make a reservation, I highly recommend it, especially as we head into the peak of summer season, you can make a reservation online up to two weeks in advance. If you have time and want to continue the South Fork wine trail, then Channing Daughters Winery, a smaller vineyard in Bridgehampton, is another option for a more casual outing. They have great rose, and you can enjoy a nice glass or a tasting while overlooking the property and the sculptures by the founder. They also have snacks.
