What to Wear to a Vineyard in Saint Emilion Bordeaux

Keep it casual, avoid flip flops or heels, many cobblestone streets so plan your footwear accordingly. We did a lot of leisure walking and chateau hopping so flat sandals were perfect. Linen pieces, midi skirts and breathable tops such as this look was worn twice this trip and I was very comfortable and pleased with my choice. You can always dress up a bit more and add a jacket for the cooler days, but summery pieces look very cute on. Surprisingly I didn’t get any of my white pieces stained from red wine.

When traveling, we always look for places with terraces or rooftops so we can get a glass of wine and see the town in action and of course get the stellar view from up above. While in Saint-Emilion, we went to Hotel Pavie, which has a colorful red and white striped terrace. You can watch the sunset and see the stones change colors. You can get a glimpse of the plaza down under, see the people eating and walking and just enjoying a nice day. We didn’t eat there as it was very touristy, but we did go to a few spots that were great!

If you’re not in the mood for yet another French dish, I highly recommend the following spots for casual spots:

Café Saigon, if you’re in the mood for Asian, Vietnamese or vegetarian options. The menu is small but it covers your basis. The staff is very friendly. The kitchen is on the first floor and the restaurant is on the second floor, you can see the town from the windows and scout post-dinner cocktails. It’s located at 21 rue Guadet, 33330 Saint-Emilion France.

La Pizzeria du Vieux Lavoir located at 19 Rue de la Grande Fontaine, 33330 Saint-Émilion, France is super cute, we got a spot next to the fountain area and it was very quaint. There’s a wine bar up the tiny hill if you want to go for a nightcap.

Restaurant Thai – Le Phuket located at 83 avenue du General de Gaulle, 33500 Libourne France. If you have a car. Go here for an al fresco thai experience. The ladies don’t speak English but you can order just fine.

If you’re looking for nicer spots, you can try some of these:

Chateau Hotel & Spa Grand Barrail, ROUTE DE LIBOURNE, D243, 33330 Saint-Émilion, France.

La Table de Pavie, 5 Place du Clocher, 33330 Saint-Émilion

Le Jardin, Château Petit Faurie de Soutard, 33330 Saint-Émilion, France, 33330 Saint-Émilion

Château Fleur de Roques, Chateau Fleur de Roques, 33570 Puisseguin
