When traveling, I plan my outfits very carefully, I plan them according to the places I’m visiting, check the weather, lay them on my bed, try them on to make sure they still fit (if I haven’t worn a piece in a while), and take a couple extra options I can wear in case the weather changes drastically. One important thing to keep in mind is that I take pieces I can often mix and match in case I want to create a different look or end up staying longer or on the rare occasion that I don’t feel like wearing the planned outfit anymore. If you know me, you know I’m very determined so rarely change my mind even when it comes to outfits.
When I walked into Zhiggie in St. Tropez, a brand I’m in love with, handcrafted in their Parisian atelier, I was taken away. The quality, the prints, I wanted to take the entire store. The brand makes pieces exclusive for sunny days. They speak my language. They recently launched their newest campaign to celebrate Saint Tropez and its sophisticated simplicity and spontaneous brightness. Claire, the designer, trained as a ballet dancer and her aesthetic and beautiful silhouettes are clearly transported to her pieces. As soon as I walked into the store I was captivated and got my eye on this set.
White and blue stripes are always a classic. I also love a good summer set, preferably with a structured crop top and a high-waist A-line skirt so this Zhiggie set is the perfect blue and white dream of a set I didn’t know I needed in my life. I took the 34 size on the top (the smallest) and the 36 size on the skirt so I had more room to play around with. The set is elegant, romantic and delicate. This was the perfect outfit to wear in the South of France and to celebrate our first wedding anniversary at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France. every moment was perfection and the staff went above and beyond to make the occasion more special.
