What to Wear in Saint Tropez

Half of our time in Saint Tropez, we were going from beach club to the beach or beach to a beachside café so for these activities, I wore cover-ups such as this white linen oversized shirt on top of a mini dress. I also wore oversized shirts on top of bikinis. This particular day, we were doing beach club, beach stroll and then hotel check-in so I wore a light dress versus a bikini as I knew I wasn’t going to get in the water until after I had the time to unpack. My husband of course got in the water, and I lovingly watched him while drinking a glass of rose.

Lightweight crochet pieces, linen pants or linen sets such as linen shirts and linen shorts were also part of what I work in Saint Tropez. A straw hat and sandals were always within reach as the sun sets strong in the South of France, even in early summer June-early July. High season officially starts end of June through the end of August in the South of France. We went at the beginning of June and was perfect, we can get reservations everywhere and it wasn’t crowded. Sundresses, maxi dresses, florals, colorful prints, two-piece sets were part of my wardrobe as well, more to come on each style.

Where to go in La Croix-Valmer

If you’re visiting Saint Tropez beaches, you can go to one of the many beach clubs for lunch, drinks, but also to rent a beach bed, where you can get food and beverage service as well. There are paths on each beach where you can just bring your towel and snacks and have a nice beach day. We started our Saint Tropez journey at La Brigantine, a sea-facing restaurant at the beach club of Lily of the Valley. It’s located at Plage de Gigaro, 1242 Bd de Gigaro, 83420 La Croix-Valmer, France.

They have parking up the hill and a shuttle that will bring you right to the restaurant. We had the last lunch seating as we were driving from Provence and it was perfect to sit down, relax and enjoy a great lunch by the sea, followed by a stroll on the beach and a little dip on the mediterranean sea. If you’re in the area, make sure you check out this spot. Gigaro Beach is quiet and a nice space to spend a summer day. There are other beach clubs along the beach you can swing by for drinks or another bite later in the day.
