Spring sweaters are in full swing. The knits and fabrics are endless, and you can pick and choose the colors, weight and style you like. You can wear them up or down. You can wear spring sweaters with jeans and flats and throw on wool socks for those cooler days or just keep it light with ballerina flats and even sandals when it’s nicer out. Jeans are a good easy-breezy casual look that you can take to the office when you know a client is not visiting but you can also wear them with dress pants for a more formal look. When it’s 60 degrees this sweater is perfect to wear on its own. You know that wonderful feeling when you can finally leave your coat at home.
As much as we love spring, we know it is a temperamental season so when the temperature drops again in the so-called fake spring, you can use a knit sweater for layers for the transitional period between the seasons’ mood changes. If you have more cashmere options in your closet than you’d like to admit, I suggest opting for featherweight cashmere sweaters as they are lighter than heavyweight cashmere ones. Scoop neck and v-neck sweaters are easier to carry than turtlenecks and the light air of spring is already a reason to pack away your turtlenecks until next winter. Merino wools are lighter than the chunkier winter sweaters and always look light and sophisticated.
