New York will always be home. This past weekend, I hoped over New York City on my way to D.C. and it was all my heart needed. It was warm during the day, so I was at the pool in the afternoons, which were well needed after morning brunch meetings. I haven’t been back in the city in the summer for a couple of years now and I loved how quiet it was. It was just the perfect weekend, a mix of meetings and city time. I was able to stroll around town in this super breezy midi dress during the day as it felt quite pleasant in the earlier part of the day. I love a good skirt dress, it’s perfect for a twirl and the colors are so lively that scream summer.
For fall, I would only add a white linen blazer, a shawl or a light sweater for the early mornings and evenings and you’re all set. I also wore high-waist white denim shorts, and a long sleeve cropped shirt, a red and white stripe combo that did not feel too warm at all, which made me happy because I packed it as an alternative to wear with jeans or slacks for the office. The jelly flats are perfect to walk around, never got a blister, look super cute on. You can wear them to walk around and into the pool, which are very on brand!
