Day one in Barcelona revolved around the Gothic Quarter, its narrow streets and quaint architecture. Walking and taking in all the beauty surrounding me was breathtaking. So much history hits you from every corner, I cannot wait to go back very soon. The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, better known as the Barcelona Cathedral, is the Gothic cathedral and seat of the Archbishop of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The cathedral was built from the thirteenth to fifteenth centuries. It’s mesmerizing both outside and inside. You can’t help by stop every few steps and look up and down, right and left, notice all the details and try to go back to that time where all that creativity and divine work took place. I went in the morning when the streets were quiet and not that many people on the streets, I did all this walking on a Friday to avoid the weekend tourist wave. Given that I had a limited wardrobe because I was living from a carry-on for three weeks, I decided to wear a simple white turtleneck sweater with high-waist cropped pants and a chic yet casual cape to take advantage of the nice weather Barcelona graced me with in November. La catedral fue construida entre los siglos XIII y XV. Es impresionante tanto por fuera como por dentro. No puedes evitar detenerte mientras caminas y mirar hacia arriba, abajo, derecha e izquierda, notar todos los detalles e intentar volver a ese momento en el que tuvo lugar toda esa creatividad y trabajo divino. Fui por la mañana cuando las calles estaban tranquilas y no había tanta gente en las calles, hice todo esto caminando un viernes para evitar la ola turística de fin de semana. Dado que tenía un armario limitado porque dependía de un equipaje de mano ya que estaba viajando por tres semanas, decidí usar un simple suéter de cuello tortuga blanco con pantalones cortos de cintura alta y una capa chic pero informal para aprovechar el buen clima que pude disfrutar en Barcelona en noviembre. Loz zapatos llamados mulas son muy cómodos para caminar por la ciudad; este par es perfecto para esto.
