I always invest in classic pieces, I know I will wear for a long time. If you often visit this site or follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed that I mixed and matched a lot of my denim jacket, mules and spanx leggings, and tops throughout my trips to Geneva and Barcelona last month. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about adding new pieces here and there to spruce up my wardrobe but I take pride that I recycle my clothes and use most of it pretty often. I have pieces that I’ve had for over ten years and still look like new and still wear them. During my first couple days in Barcelona, I was so lucky that I was ten-minute walk to the Arc de Triompf or Arco de Triunfo, which is a triumphal arch built by architect Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas as the main access gate for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair hosted the Universal Exhibition. The Arc de Triomf was built as the gateway to the fair which was held in the Parc de la Ciutadella. The monument has a classical shape and features ground-breaking sculptural and decorative finishes replete with symbolism. It was so mesmerizing to see this work of art every morning when the city was still sleeping and only the puppies and runners were out and about.
