Trench Coat Dress for Fall

TRENCH COAT DRESS: OLD ANN TAYLOR LOFT TRENCH COAT DRESS | EARRINGS: MANGO GEOMETRIC EARRINGS | SHOES: MANGO METALLIC MESH SHOES.

I’m a big fan of re-wearing pieces and this trench coat dress is a classic for summer to fall transition. I’ve had it since I moved to DC over a decade ago. This trench code is great as we transition to cooler temperatures because it’s breathable given the sleeveless detail so I can still wear it during summer if I’m going out in the late afternoon where I want a fall look but don’t be too warm and if it gets windy, the thicker material will be warm enough. As we enter the cooler months, I’ve worn this trench coat dress with boots, flats, sandals and ballerina flats with a short sleeve shirt or a black basic long sleeve shirt to get warmer when needed to.

Another way to wear a trench coat dress is open of course and for that the way to do it is basically the same way you would wear a blazer, with jeans, pants or a dress. I like the medium length as it leaves room for movement. You can wear a trench coat dress or a regular trench coat to the office, for brunch or to go grocery shopping over a basic tee and leggings. It’s quite versatile and I’m glad I’ve kept this cutie for all these years.
