Weekend Stroll

I have to confess I have a blazer crush. I just can’t seem to stop wearing them. Blazer with patches, plaid, with prints, you name them. Navy blazers have always been a favorite of mine. You can wear them with anything, from dresses, shorts to camo pants and they’re ideal for a casual weekend stroll.

This weekend, Will and I took a stroll in Bryant Park and got to see some of his friends play hockey at the City Pond. I wore a hot pink shirt and sweater in an attempt to get my mind set into spring. Where are you spring and why are you taking so long to come?

When going on a weekend stroll to the park, I recommend wearing a blazer and bright colors for casual yet sophisticated look. Here are the details on the outfit I wore: JCrew blazer, JCrew tippi sweater, Polo shirt, Marciano skinny jeans, H&M scarf, Forever21 pointy flats.

Accessories: House of Harlow 1960 sunnies, Forever21 necklace, Michael Kors watch, Stella&Dot renegade cluster bracelet, vintage skinny pink velt, Bauble Bar chevron rings, American Apparel city pouch, Chanel Joues Contraste 55, Chanel April nail colour.

Dots & Stripes

Layering and more layering. When will this weather go away and leave room for shorts and summer dresses? Hopefully soon but in the meantime, here’s another easy and fun way to layer and transition from winter to spring. Dot sweater and stripe shirt make up for an easy-breezy outfit. Whether you’re running errands, shopping or meeting your friends for a fun weekend brunch, this is an outfit that keeps you warm and brings out your style.

Red shoes are always a great option, they pop your outfit. I use these ZARA suede shoes on a regular basis. I also love these Alice + Olivia shoes that I save for special occasions. I do this because it took me years to find the perfect pair of red shoes so I have a pair that I can wear until I kill them and my nicer pair that I take extremely good care of and use for shorter outings.

Outfit layering essentials: Old Navy sweater, JCrew stripe shirt, Marciano skinny jeans and Clare Vivier clutch.

Jewelry: JCrew, Stella&Dot, Michael Kors, Lauren Ellan, House of Harlow 1960 sunglasses.

Weekend Uniform

This past weekend I was in New Orleans and got to see everything from casual wear on Bourbon Street to preppy chic style on St. Charles Street. Even though Mardi Gras was over, the city was still vibrant and full of life. Beads continued to fly away from countless balconies and locals as well as visitors were as rambunctious as I had imagined.

My elbow patch blazer has become part of my weekend uniform and it was perfect for walking around Bourbon Street, Tulane, St. Charles Street and the French Quarter. Add camo pants and a chambray shirt to this mix for a fun, casual and chic combo. Camo prints are always fun to use, they add a little something extra if you ask me.

Zara blazer, JCrew chambray shirt, Zara camo pants, Tory Burch flats, American Apparel cities denim bag, Chanel Joues Contraste 55, Chanel April nail colour.

Accessories: Michael Kors watch, Rayban sunglasses, Bauble Bar chevron rings, Forever 21 ring. My favorite starfish earrings from Mint Julep. Starfish earrings go with absolutely everything, you can dress them up or down. I can’t wear them enough. They recently open a store in the West Village in New York. Mint Julep and I have a date this weekend!

Winter Layers

Winter layers are so much fun, you can mix and match and play with colors, fabrics, patterns.. all in the name of style and warmth of course. Fall and winter are usually dominated by darker colors but that has never stopped me. I always try to add bright colors to my outfits, especially in the fall and winter to brighten up the usual cold days.

Pearls are always an easy choice as I have been wearing them for as long as I can remember. The excursion vest and gingham shirt play a cute color and pattern combo and the leather leggings are just a playful mix.
