Black & Tan

This past weekend Will took these photographs in New York and the idea of seating on stoops and wearing flats is no longer miles away since the weather is getting a tad warmer.

As I live on suitcase, I always have to plan my outfits carefully to make sure I take all the accessories, shoes, bags and everything else that goes with every outfit I plan to wear.

A black top is always a good idea and adding this fantastic necklace (bought in New York) added color and fun to my head-to-toe black outfit.

Loose top from Zara, skinny jeans from Marciano and Michael Kors chronograph gold watch. Tory Burch flats (classic reva ballet flats) and Marc by Marc Jacobs classic Q Hillier hobo bag.

MB Fashion Week Recap Fall 2012 RTW

The Mercedes-Benz fashion week has come to an end and here are my favorite picks from the second half of the show. Tibi brought birds print skirts, blouses, which I loved! The collection highlighted symmetrical pieces, jackets, blouses, dresses, pants that are perfect for the office and semi-casual outings.

Nicole Miller’s collection is bringing an amazing wardrobe this fall. Just take a look at this picture. The hat, the dress, jacket, tights, shoes, everything is fantastic! The collection is causal but has colorful flares that make it glamorous.

Tory Burch showcased a wonderful collection full of jades, blues and chiffon. I glimpsed at some python accents on bags and totally digging that this fall.

Loving this off-white and black accents Jenny Packham dress! Very simple, chic and elegant, I bet Kate Middleton is all over this collection.

What can I say about the JCrew collection, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! There do I start? Polka dots, tweeds, jackets, colorful cropped pants, accessories, suede pumps, pencil skirts.. love it all. Everyone that knows me or works with me knows half of my wardrobe is form JCrew.

DVF always classy and fabulous. Great colors to bright up fall.

MB Fashion Week Fall 2012 RTW so far..

Hi fashionistas, I know I’ve been out of the loop for a bit but work has been crazy this week. Nonetheless, here’s recap on this year’s fall Mercedes Benz fashion week in New York. Jason Wu’s fall collection highlights an army of Chinese female powerhouse. From the wooden doors to the uniform outfits on the runway, Wu brings a collection of red, embroideries and militaristic outfits.

BCBG Max Azria’s geometric vivid colors are such an inspiration. The orange keeps coming back, I love how vivid colors brighten up fall and winter season. The collection is full of chiffon, leather, canvas, color blocks, and the dresses style are great on different types of bodies which makes the collection even better. If you’re looking for chic leather jackets, BCBG has it all!

I loved Rag & Bone’s contemporary winter layering, vests, furs, jackets, tunics, electric colors and glamorous mixes. Bronze, grey, brown and burgundy wrapped around this fashion week’s show.

Sex and the City Stoop

This photo is, well do I even have to say?, at Carrie Bradshaw’s old apartment. So many unforgettable scenes took place on that stoop, I just needed to be a tourist and snap a photo. Sex and the City was bold, funny, cute, and had Patricia Field’s great fashion sense, sometimes edgy but always chic and stylish. All the best couture, fashion, style and designers were so embedded in the show that made it every girl’s must-see. I still see the re-runs every time I can or catch them On Demand when I hang out with girlfriends. On the show, the apartment was supposed to be on the Upper East Side but it is right on theWestVillage, on a quiet street, hence the perfect location to film the fabulous TV show. WJM walked me right up to the stoop as he knew I would love it.Greenwich Villageis one of my favorite spots in the city and where I spend most of my time, whenever I go up.

New York City, the city that never sleeps has fashion everywhere you look. Every time I walk around, whether in the village,Union Square,Upper West Sideor anywhere else, I can’t help to notice how chic and stylish people are. Everyone has their own style but regardless if you’re going for a preppy, grungy, stylish look, you can appreciate the uniqueness of everyone’s outfits.

As I continued my walk around the city I opted for the below outfit: Urban Outfitters high-waist khaki shorts, they’re comfy, light, have the perfect length and well they’re very  in style right now (be gentle with the sipper, it’s a bit difficult but with gentle care you’ll be fine), the Urban Outfitters 3/4 sleeve chiffon floral printed black blouse was a great choice as it was sunny yet a bit chilly outside, you can weear the sleeves a bit longer if you prefer, I wanted to have them right by the elbow to give a fresh look, and the Urban Outfitters white/brown bag is stylish yet very useful, you can use it pretty much with dresses, pants, jeans, take it to the beach, brunch, roadtrip. Ever since I got it, i can’t seem to be able to put it away. The Steve Madden gold sandals are always comfy to walk around, Mint Julep black clover earrings are some of my favorite earrings this season. Ray Ban sunglasses fit everyone and give you that stylish casual look that is perfect for a Saturday afternoon walk.

Here are some fun quotes from Carrie from Sex and the City. “I like my money right where I can see it, hanging on my closet.” “The fact is sometimes it is hard to walk on a single woman’s shoes, that is why we need really special ones now and then to make the walk a little more fun.”
