I love good structured suit and J.Crew always knows how to make them just right. Elegant, sophisticated, simple with a touch of a little something extra to catch your eye. The silhouette features a sleek and straight fit that makes this blazer perfect for the office but also for speaking engagements. The blue breeze color was perfect to wear in March as we gear into spring, and I was speaking at a panel to commemorate International Women’s Day at the Ecuadorian Embassy in Washington, D.C. The light tone of the suit gives the look a modern twist and you don’t feel too formal.
When you’re not wearing your blazer as a full suit, you can also opt to tone it down a little and switch the collar shirt with a casual tee and the pants with jeans to get a more relaxed look. The look is fitted but you have room to comfortably move around and be comfortable, which are key ingredients when you’re wearing a structured blazer. I love a good pink suit as well, this pastel pink one is also from J.Crew as is this bright cobalt blue one, this off-white stripped suit from Veronica Beard is also a very subtle yet eye-catching suit, and this one is from Zara. I like monochromatic looks, simple yet classic and can’t never go wrong.
