As you probably already know, dresses are my favorite piece to wear. I feel the most comfortable, pretty and at easy in a dress. Even on the low days, I can put on a dress and a smile instantly pops up. Fashion comes and goes but style stays forever. Style is a choice; it evolves with times but it’s same at its core. For instance, when I buy a dress, I’m either buying basic pieces I replace every so many years because I wear them often, whereas to the beach, to lounge at home or do walk up and down the city in the heat of the summer. There’s the second phase of dress shopping, the one that I take my time, get to know the brand and spend on a quality piece I know I will wear for a long time.
I don’t buy trends, I like classic, effortless pieces I know I can wear today, tomorrow and always. This Agua Bendita dress, by a Colombian designer, was one of those pieces, plus I got it on the Saks sale, which always makes it fun to get something you like on a sale. I’m usually an XS size but I’m a size S on this brand. I can fit on an XS but I wouldn’t be able to eat or be too comfortable in. this botanical flare dress is the ideal dress for summer outings. You can take it from brunch, to drinks, to dinner, just have to switch your footwear and voila, you’ll create different outfits. You can throw on a shawl or an oversized jacket for early spring or fall days.
