My Friday outfit is usually pretty casual – skinny jeans, stripe shirts, comfy jackets, and flat boots to go to the office or run errands. But when I’m heading out to a dinner party and late night cocktails, I tend to stick with my red skinny cropped pants that are super comfortable but still feel dressed up for the occasion.

This JCrew stripe shirt is one my latest JCrew stripe finds and I absolutely love it! It goes great with pants, skirts, shorts, seasonless really. Adding my favorite Gap navy blue blazer is perfect so I don’t need multiple layers to keep me warm.

Layering different prints makes an outfit fun, take my Steve Madden leopeard pointy flats for instance. Effortless look and comfy to the T. Earrings are from Forever21 and bracelet from Mint Julep.

MB Fashion Week Recap Fall 2012 RTW

The Mercedes-Benz fashion week has come to an end and here are my favorite picks from the second half of the show. Tibi brought birds print skirts, blouses, which I loved! The collection highlighted symmetrical pieces, jackets, blouses, dresses, pants that are perfect for the office and semi-casual outings.

Nicole Miller’s collection is bringing an amazing wardrobe this fall. Just take a look at this picture. The hat, the dress, jacket, tights, shoes, everything is fantastic! The collection is causal but has colorful flares that make it glamorous.

Tory Burch showcased a wonderful collection full of jades, blues and chiffon. I glimpsed at some python accents on bags and totally digging that this fall.

Loving this off-white and black accents Jenny Packham dress! Very simple, chic and elegant, I bet Kate Middleton is all over this collection.

What can I say about the JCrew collection, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! There do I start? Polka dots, tweeds, jackets, colorful cropped pants, accessories, suede pumps, pencil skirts.. love it all. Everyone that knows me or works with me knows half of my wardrobe is form JCrew.

DVF always classy and fabulous. Great colors to bright up fall.

Closet 101

Closet problems? Ask me! I have a tiny Victorian style closet but with careful planning, I’ve made it all work. When you have a small closet, the key is organization, organization, organization! From colors to outfits coordination, you can transform your closet and picking up outfits is so much easier.

#ClosetTips: Start by categorizing your clothes by colors, then move on to shirts and blouses. My top closet is dedicated to shirts, sweater, jackets, blazers and pants, which are organized by sleeve length, color and pattern. I start with white, yellow, pink, blue, everything in between and keep going to darker colors. I also separate my blouses by stripes or flower/stars patterns so I know where to go when I want a fun top.

#ClosetTips: Organize your dresses by occasion, color and season. It makes life so much easier when you’re wondering what to wear. Since my closet is the size of a door, REALLY, whoever built this house had no idea of the amount of clothes a girl can have. Not to panic. I have these wonderful wonder hangers that have made my closet very happy.

#ClosetTips: Use your room’s space efficiently. Using door hangers for my bags and necklaces has been great. I keep them all nice and organized and spaced out for easy decisions. Stay tune for more #ClosetTips!

Dot Dot Dot

I love hosting dinner parties; having people over and cooking can be very fun. Although it’s usually Will who does most of the cooking, I like to organize, plan and do a few appetizers, it must be the planner in me.

This H&M polka dots dress (last seen here) is one of my favorite dinner outfits and matches my Anthropology polka dots apron. Double polka dots, yes please!

Zara suede shoes, Michael Kors watch, Mint Julep bracelet, Forever21 polka dots earrings.

Big thanks to Billy Simpson for doing this phooshoot.
