Anchors aweigh

When it comes to beachwear, white shorts are always a must. This time, I opted for a sequin blue top and my striped shoes, which I’m currently obsessed with.

Every time I go to Montauk, I find cute little stores. This time, I stopped by the Air & Speed Surf Shop on my way to Ditch Plains as Will wanted to look at hats and other stuff. You know this would not have happened if it was the other way around and I wanted to stop by JCrew or Intermix… it might be because I would take longer but still I’m just saying.

The Air & Speed Surf Shop has been in Montauk forever. It all started with Stuart and Catherine Foley wanting to grow the surf culture in the Montauk community 15 years ago. Local stores are great for the community, it’s like family, so next time you’re in Montauk, make sure you stop by the Air & Speed Surf Shop to support local surf, they have a great variety of equipment and clothing. Then head to Ditch Plains for beach fun and to get your surf on!

Chevron

Lately, I have been obsessed with chevron. My obsession ranges from rings, clothes, pillows to anything else I can think of. So you can only imagine how happy I was when I found this chevron dress. I automatically picture wearing it with my Asos chevron rings.

Sometimes, a little chevron dress with bright colors is all you need to make a girl happy.

Pencil

When it comes to chic office outfits, I tend to go with pencil style pieces. It’s very simple, the high waist of the pencil style elongates your body, it’s fitted and has a subtle way to mesh with your body. The pencil style accentuates your waist, hugs your curves and pushes you to pay more attention to your walk. So you know ladies, get your strut on!

Pencil style is such a classic look, it’s timeless and you can wear it up or down depending on the fabric and added items you decide to wear your outfit with. Make sure the fit is right on the waist and hips, the rest will fall into place by itself.

My look: Asos Midi pencil dress, Zara shoes, Marc by Marc Jacobs Q Hillier bag, Mint Julep starfish earrings and Rayban aviators.

Whether you’re mixing a patterned pencil skirt with a solid color shirt or have a solid pencil skirt and a solid color shirt, just follow your instinct, be confident and stay comfortable. You’ll see how easy it is to make a pencil style outfit work.

Bring it Back

As I continued the pre 4th of July celebration, I decided to bring back to my closet an old oversized white tank and wear it as a beach dress. It worked perfectly, it wasn’t too tight, white always looks good when you’re tanned and it’s a casual look. I added my straw hat and golden accessories to give it a feminine chic twist.

Going to Wainscott, Ditch Plains, Cyril’s and around East Hampton makes me want to get on a surf board and enjoy the waves at another level, who knows maybe this summer I will actually attempt to get on a board.
