As temperatures get peak summer high in Madrid in August, we always look for places we can escape to during the month, starting with my birthday weekend. We wanted a beach escape for a quiet little weekend, something simple, near Madrid but wanted to avoid crowds so decided to head to Sitges area, which is less than a 2-hour train ride from Madrid and a 30-minute taxi from Barcelona. We wanted a place to sit back, enjoy and relax. We decided on Garraf, a quaint little beach town where life slows down.
We journey into Little Beach Hose Barcelona. We relaxed, unplugged, went in and out of the ocean many times a day, laid in the sun, had yummy food, enjoyed a BBQ evening and also visited the @lacupulagarraf on the cliff. It was the perfect little beach escape. They are open April through October. The beach doesn’t get too crowded and you have a reserved beach bed every day during your stay which is great as we didn’t want to deal with grabbing a spot at the beach early, we wanted to just go whenever we wanted to.
