Fall layering is an art you must master if you want to get through the season looking stylish and staying cozy. My layering game definitely came in handy this week as I traveled to Irvington, VA for my company retreat. The location was The Tides Inn. On the itinerary, I had team building activities, which could mean indoor and outdoor settings, working sessions in between fun bourbon tasting, lunches, dinners, s’mores by the fire and axe throwing. The Inn was by the water, so that entailed coastal winds and fresh air and potential bike rides and walks to town and around the property.

Taking all this information into account, I packed tees, long sleeve t-shirts, jeans, faux leather leggings, Converse shoes, sweaters, light jackets and my favorite wool cape jacket that I always travel with when it’s on the 60s-40s as it is lighter and easier to travel with than my winter coat. It was good that I packed tees as Thursday was 70 degrees and sunny and my colleagues that only brought sweaters were a little bit overheated. See below a few snaps of my fall layering uniform. The cape came in handy at night but otherwise I wore tees, light jackets and silk scarves.

Das Gasthaus lag am Wasser, so dass Küstenwinde und frische Luft und mögliche Radtouren und Spaziergänge in die Stadt und rund um das Grundstück mit sich brachten.

Unter Berücksichtigung all dieser Informationen packte ich T-Shirts, Langarm-T-Shirts, Jeans, Kunstleder-Leggings, Converse-Schuhe, Pullover, leichte Jacken und meine Lieblingsjacke aus Wolle, die ich immer dabei habe, wenn es in den 60ern bis 40ern ist ist leichter und leichter zu transportieren als mein Wintermantel. Es war gut, dass ich T-Shirts gepackt habe, da es am Donnerstag 70 Grad warm und sonnig war und meine Kollegen, die nur Pullover mitbrachten, etwas überhitzt waren. Unten sehen Sie ein paar Schnappschüsse meiner Sturzuniform. Das Cape war nachts praktisch, aber sonst trug ich T-Shirts, leichte Jacken und Seidenschals.

Las capas de otoño son un arte que debes dominar si quieres pasar la temporada con estilo y abrigada. Mi experiencia con capas de otoño definitivamente fue útil esta semana cuando tuve que ir a Irvington, VA por mi compañía. Fuimos al The Tides Inn. Fue bueno que empaqué las camisetas ya que el jueves estuvo a 70 grados y hacía bastante sol y mis colegas que solo llevaron suéteres estaban un poco sobrecalentados.
