I love wearing neutrals and white is always a favorite in my closet. That old rule that you can’t wear white after Labor Day weekend is a myth if you ask me. There are no rules when it comes to style. You do you. Dress with what you like and go with it. Personally, I wear white year around as it’s a nice color to carry through the seasons. Most people at least in the U.S. wear white during summer because it’s light, highlights your tan and because white outfits are more abundantly available during summer. However, I’m wearing white before and after Labor Day weekend.
If you have been coming here for a while you know this Solid & Striped tunic is a must when it comes to holidays. I have it in many colors. As temperatures continue to rise and summer makes it strongest debut this season, I’ll be wearing my Solid & Striped oxford tunics all season long. From pool days in Sant Emilion while I take a break between wine tastings or beach days at Soulac-sur-mer, I’ll be on this cute yet very comfortable ensemble. Speaking of Saint Emilion, our last days in the area, we stayed at the fantastic Château Hôtel Grand Barrail, ROUTE DE LIBOURNE, D243, 33330 Saint-Émilion, France, just outside Saint Emilion and relaxed.
The spa was great. Let’s put it this way, wake up, have breakfast overlooking the vineyards, relax, go to the spa, get a massage, go into the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, read by the pool, go wine tasting next door, go for a bike ride and repeat. The more and more we travel, we have enjoyed adding a few extra days to just relax and enjoy where we are. We visited chateaus but also spent a day at the hotel with nothing to do and all day to do it and we simply loved it.
