Bermuda shorts are the vintage piece you’ve seen everywhere across borders and seasons during the last couple of years. Bermuda shorts are dressier than the regular shorts. They are often worn as a semi casual option and the fabric is usually linen and cotton for the warmer months. The hem, cuffed or uncuffed, is also longer than regular short shorts, which make them more appropriate to take them to dinner and to nicer outings. Bermuda shorts should end just above the knee and shorts at mid-thigh. These days, you can find them in every color, fabric and fit.
Personally, I’ve struggled to find Bermuda shorts that fit my petite body. Most I’ve tried are very large in the hips area. Luckily, I can always rely on Mango or Zara for basic pieces that fit just right and are very affordable. I’m not a fan of the denim Bermuda shorts but everyone has their own style and it’s important to dress with what you feel most comfortable with.
