As you may already know, I travel often for work and pleasure, given that I already live abroad, I have to also travel to see family and friends, needless to say that I enjoy it a lot not going to lie. My most recent adventure took me to Barcelona, where I got to stay at Casa Bonay, a boutique hotel my friend recommended. I loved staying there, it was in Eixample’s neighborhood and was very central, I walked everywhere from my home away from home. The staff was really friendly and accommodating and I really enjoyed that they were a sustainable establishment, they refilled their glass water bottles every day, even their toothbrushes were made out of wood and prided themselves to be kind to nature. They have DJs on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, which is really fun to go to when you come back to the hotel after eating out or going to dinner at Libertine or King Kong Lady after a long day of walking around town. They have a wonderful cozy rooftop called Chiringuito, which is open in the summer until early November. Unfortunately, I just missed it but I loved that I could order breakfast from Satan’s Coffee Corner that has great treats and bites, which are perfect to take to the roof and enjoy a quiet morning. It was a bit chilly, but for a New Yorker, it was just the right temperature to have a meal snuggled up and enjoy the private oasis. Today’s temperature in the city is pretty close to the great weather I got in Barcelona so on that note, I wanted to share this Lovers + Friends Be Fierce dress I got from Revolve earlier this year. It’s fine, fierce, sexy and surprisingly warm. It’s great for 60, high 50-degree days when you can still show your bare legs, wear heels and leave the booties and knee-high boots in the closet. It comes in a few colors but I fell in love with this vibrant hue as I like to wear warm colors in the fall and winter to balance the all black that is easier to throw on during the colder seasons. Given that I was traveling for 3 weeks on one carry-on, I had to get super creative and pack accessories like this printed scarf that I can both wear with this dress, sweaters and tops both to go out, walk around town and go to business meetings that I had to attend before culminating in Barcelona for my very last meeting and adventure of solo traveling.
