EASY DAY TRIPS FROM MADRID: Ávila, Salamanca, Segovia, Toledo are easy day trips from Madrid. These easy day trips from Madrid are fun, quick, affordable and you can use public transportation or a car. We rented a car and drove to Ávila in the morning, saw Salamanca in the evening and Segovia the next day. Here’s our schedule. I visited Toledo 2 years ago and took a train from Madrid.
PASEOS RÁPIDOS DE MADRID: Ávila, Salamanca, Segovia y Toledo son excursiones fáciles de un día que puedes hacer de Madrid. Estas sencillas excursiones son divertidas, rápidas, asequibles y puedes utilizar el transporte público o el coche. Alquilamos un coche y fuimos a Ávila por la mañana, vimos Salamanca por la tarde y Segovia al día siguiente. Aquí está nuestro horario. Visité Toledo hace 2 años y cogí un tren desde Madrid.
ÁVILA: Ávila is a walled city one hour from Madrid, it is an easy day trip from Madrid. Parking is free on Sundays. Don’t miss the cathedral, church and birthplace of Saint Teresa de Jesus, Parish of St. Peter the Apostle, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Alcázar.
VISITA ÁVILA: Ávila es una ciudad amurallada a una hora de Madrid. No te pierdas la cathedral, la Plaza Mayor, la iglesia de la Madre Teresa de Jesus y Pedro el apóstol.
SALAMANCA: Went to Salamanca after wine tasting nearby at Hacienda Zorita, details of our stay here, walked for a couple of hours. Don’t miss the cathedral, Casa Lis, Casa de las Conchas, Convent San Esteban, Roman bridge, university, Plaza Mayor, Ieronimus Tower (old cathedral).
VISITA SALAMANCA: Salamanca está cerquita de Madrid, fuimos en la tarde después de una cata de vinos en el hotel donde nos quedamos. No te pierdas la cathedral, Casa Lis, Casa de las Conchas, Convento San Esteban, Puente romano, universidad, Plaza Mayor, la torre Ieronimus (Antigua cathedral).
SEGOVIA: Segovia’s Roman aqueduct is even more mesmerizing in person! This is a quick and easy day trip from Madrid. You can knock it off in a few hours. Visit the Alcázar, cathedral, Plaza Mayor, Casa de los Picos, Mirador de la pradera de San Marcos, Iglesia de San Millán.
VISITA SEGOVIA: El acueducto Romano en la ciudad de Segovia fue una maravilla. Otro paseito que puedes hacer en un par de horas desde Madrid. No te pierdas el Alcázar, catedral, Plaza Mayor, Casa de los Picos, Mirador de la pradera de San Marcos, Iglesia de San Millán.
TOLEDO: My last recommendation for an easy day trip from Madrid is Toledo. 30 minutes by train. Many cultures, dynasties, wars and artists have passed thorough this picturesque. Visit the Santa Iglesia Catedral Primada de Toledo, the military museum Alcázar de Toledo, the Monasterio de San Juan de los Reyes, the Museo del Greco.
VISITA TOLEDO: 30 minutos en tren. Culturas, dinastías, guerras y artistas han pasado por este pintoresco lugar. Llegué a ver la Santa Iglesia Catedral Primada de Toledo, el museo militar Alcázar de Toledo, el Monasterio de San Juan de los Reyes, el Museo del Greco.
