When it comes to holidays and long weekends I like to dress up a bit. I like to keep it simple, clean and a little festive without overdoing it. For this holiday and well-needed long weekend, I decided to put together a 4th of July off the shoulder outfit. You know my obsession with off the shoulder pieces and I wear them every time I can. I also love red, white and blue outfits, they’re so nautical and I love anything with stripes and these color hues in general. Wanting to keep things fun, I picked a Topshop white off the shoulder dress, which works great on petite women. It’s loose, flirty and it just focuses your attention on the shoulders. It doesn’t matter if you’re a petite curvy woman, a petite straight body woman, it just works, trust me. I’m wearing a size 0 on the Topshop dress. I added a red and blue bandana and tied them together for a little twist on the bandana trend and to jazz up the outfit a little more. Adding a straw hat and super comfortable sandals from Steve Madden was the perfect finishing touch.

Cuando planeo outfits para los feriados o fines de semana largos aquí en Estados Unidos me gusta vestirme un poco festiva, dress up como digo acá. Me gusta qu mis looks sean sencillos, simples y un poco festivos pero sin exagerar. Para este feriado y muy necesitado fin de semana, decidí ponerme un vestido a los hombros para el 4 de julio. Sabes mi obsesión por los outfits a los hombros y me los pongo cada vez que puedo. También me encantan los looks de color rojo, blanco y azul, son tan náuticos y me encanta todo los looks con las rayas y estos tonos en general. Queriendo mantener mi look divertido, me puse un vestido blanco Topshop a los hombros, que queda muy bien en las mujeres pequeñas o petite como digo siempre. Es suelto, coqueto y que centra su atención en los hombros. No importa si eres una mujer con curvas petite, una mujer más delgada petite, simplemente queda bien, confía en mí y me lo agradecerás después. Estoy usando un vestido tamaño 0 de Topshop. He añadido un pañuelo rojo y azul y los amarré juntos para darle algo extra a la tendencia. El sombrero de paja y sandalias de Steve Madden súper cómodas fueron el toque final perfecto.

Sunday Afternoon

Sunday afternoons are usually pretty casual. Lately, I’ve been going to brunches pretty often on Sundays, which I always enjoy. To end the week on a good note, there’s nothing like a walk through Washington Square Park to brighten up my days, it’s nice to see artists and people gathered around the fountain just having a lazy Sunday afternoon. I love polka dots and these casual pair of jeans put a bug smile on my face. They’re simple but add so much to the outfit. You know I’m all about details. I like to carefully plan my outfits and enjoy mixing and matching them in my head. I don’t spend too much time putting together an outfit the day of but I feel I played around with it in my head at some point and it just comes out when I’m picking what to wear. Sonntagnachmittag sind in der Regel ziemlich lässig. In letzter Zeit habe ich ziemlich oft Brunch am Sonntag, die ich immer wieder gerne gegangen. Ich verbringe nicht zu viel Zeit damit, zusammen ein Outfit der Tag, aber ich glaube, ich spielte mit ihm in meinem Kopf an einem gewissen Punkt und es kommt nur heraus, wenn ich Kommissionierung, was zu tragen habe. Domingos por la tarde suelen ser bastante casuales. It’s no news that I love stripes, I love all colors, shapes and forms. The other day, I was talking to my colleague Erica and we were discussing how much we love stripes, somehow it seems I can never get enough of them. So, it’s no surprise that this Asos skater dress in stripe jacquard was love at first sight. It has two of my favorite things: stripes and skater skirt at an affordable price. The dress is $66.50, which is pretty good for the material, fit and look of it. The crew neckline, soft pleating, fit and flare style work great for petite bodies. I paired the white and blue stripe dress with Alice + Olivia Dina pumps. Whenever I can, I wear white, blue and red, it’s such a pretty color combo, I can’t help myself. This dress reminded me of a stripe dress I saw on the fabulous and always beautifully dressed Blair Eadie from Atlantic-Pacific. Anchor It

Anchors, anchors, anchors… can’t get enough of them! This JCrew anchor blouse has become one of my favorite pieces in my closet. I can wear it pretty much with any skirt, shorts, pants, jeans and any other complimentary piece I have. It just fits right.

This time, I mixed my JCrew anchor blouse with a Zara lace skirt and Max Azria shoes for a fresh look. This amazing Clare Vivier pouch made dressing up fun. Anchors + lace + stripes = fun couture salad.

You can wear this outfit to go out for brunch, date, shopping… shall I go on? I know you get the point. It’s not a party without accessories to play with.
